A True Texan, Born and Bred
Bobby Garcia was born in Pharr, Texas, raised by two hard-working parents who passed that virtue on to their children. His father, born and raised in San Juan, Texas, graduated from PSJA High School and worked for the Coca-Cola company for 37 years, starting as a helper to the truck drivers and working his way up to the position of plant manager. His father served in the Korean War and was an active member of the American Legion Post 37 and the Rio Grande Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 8788.
His mother, a Texan born and raised in Hidalgo County, came from a family of farmers and ranchers. After graduating from McAllen High School, she worked at the courtesy booth of Kroger before dedicating herself to raising her four children.
Building Devotion to Law and Justice
Bobby attended Victor Fields Elementary School, Travis Junior High, and McAllen Memorial High School. He then pursued a degree in economics at the University of Texas in Austin. His dedication to justice was sparked when an attorney cheated his grandfather out of land, motivating Bobby to study law.
After graduating from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Bobby committed to becoming a lawyer who stands up against those who misuse the law to harm others. As a seasoned trial lawyer, Bobby has extensive experience in the courtroom, fighting vigorously for his clients’ rights and ensuring they receive the justice they deserve.
More Than a Committed Attorney
Bobby has spent much time volunteering in his community. He served on the State Bar Grievance Committee for eight years, acting as Chairman for six. He has also served on various boards, including the Mission Hospital Board and the Children’s Advocacy Board. Bobby and his family are involved in their local religious community, attending and volunteering at local churches. They donate their time and money, supporting causes championed by Sister Fatima Santiago and Sister Norma Pimentel.
Raising the Future
Bobby has four kids, one son and three daughters, who are each working to leave their mark on the world.
His eldest, Andi, graduated from St. Mary’s University with a degree in kinesiology and another degree in psychology. She graduated from Arizona State University with distinction and a perfect 4.0 and is currently working in obtailing her PHD.
Bobby’s son, Rauvey, has graduated summa cum laude from Texas Christian University and was #1 in his major. Rauvey is currently attending University of Oklahoma law school, which he started in the fall of 2022 and is currently in the American Bar Association Moot Court Team.
Bobby’s other daughter, Regan, is currently studying at Louisiana State University. During her first year, Regan maintained an “A” average, gaining a spot on the Dean’s List, where she’s expected to graduate this coming year. Following the completion of her undergraduate degree, she also intends to go to law school.
Bobby’s youngest, Jimena, is currently the top student at Sharyland Academy. She has kept a perfect score in math and also scored the highest grade possible on the state board tests administered at her school.

Of course, the most important members of the family are their seven pets: Marlo, Ollie, Ramona, Tomasa, Refujio, Angelo and Catalina.
